LifeWave Patches Worn By Olympic Swimmers

A common question we are asked is can the patches get wet? Yes they can. Here’s a perfect example.

In early 2004 Dr Karl Marriot Stanford University showed the LifeWave patches to Stanford Women's Swimming Head Coach Richard Quick.

Just three weeks after providing the patches to his team, six of its eight members broke their personal lifetime records. Stanford Team members were then spotted wearing the patches during the Olympic Swimming trials, The US Olympic Swimming Coach quickly became a huge endorser for the LifeWave Patch Technology. By 2004 The patches were being used by the US Men’s Swimming Team in Greece.

This unpaid endorsement gave LifeWave national media attention. As a result, over 1000 people came forward to become LifeWave Distributors!

Inspired by the performance results, Coach Quick eagerly accepted a position as LifeWave’s Director of Athletics that same year. During his time on the staff, Richard worked tirelessly with Distributors to attract professional athletes, Olympians and aspiring amateurs to the products. In those early years, few people equaled his impact on the integrity and popularity of LifeWave.

Sadly Richard Quick passed away in 2009 due to a Brain Tumor. LiveWave founder, David Schmidt, created the Richard Quick Leadership Award to honor his memory and dedication to explaining LifeWave to athletes and helping LifeWave become an overnight success story.

The award recognizes Members who embody the principles that defined the man we all admired so much. It was inspiring to be affiliated with someone of Coach Quick’s stature, whose career included a number of remarkable milestones:

-A record thirteen NCAA National Championships.

-Five consecutive National Championships at the University of Texas.

-Eight NCAA National Titles at Stanford University.

-Five NCAA Coach of the Year honors.

-Coach of the U.S. Olympic Team at six consecutive Olympic Games.
